Safety and Security Policy for Guests
PURPOSE
The purpose of this Safety and Security Policy ("Policy") is to ensure the safety, security, privacy, and well-being of all guests, visitors, employees, contractors, and other occupants present at the Premises. This Policy establishes mandatory safety and security requirements applicable to all guests during their stay.
APPLICABILITY
This Policy applies to:
- (a) all guests occupying the Premises;(b) visitors accompanying guests;(c) invitees permitted by the management; and(d) any person accessing the Premises through a guest reservation.
GENERAL SAFETY OBLIGATIONS
Guests shall conduct themselves in a manner that promotes a safe and secure environment for all occupants of the Premises.
Guests shall comply with all safety instructions, emergency procedures, notices, and directions issued by the management from time to time.
Guests shall immediately report any unsafe condition, accident, injury, security concern, suspicious activity, or potential hazard to the management.
IDENTIFICATION AND ACCESS CONTROL
All guests shall provide valid government-issued identification prior to check-in or upon request by the management.
Guests shall not permit unauthorized persons to enter or occupy the Premises.
Access cards, keys, entry codes, digital credentials, or any other access mechanism issued to guests shall be kept secure at all times.
Guests shall not duplicate, share, transfer, or disclose access credentials to any unauthorized person.
Loss of keys, access cards, or access credentials shall be reported immediately.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Guests shall familiarize themselves with emergency exits, evacuation routes, assembly points, and emergency contact information available at the Premises.
In the event of a fire, medical emergency, security threat, natural disaster, or other emergency situation, guests shall comply with evacuation procedures and instructions issued by emergency responders or management.
Guests shall not interfere with emergency response activities or emergency equipment.
FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY
Guests shall not engage in any activity that may create a fire hazard.
Tampering with smoke detectors, fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, emergency lighting, or any fire protection equipment is strictly prohibited.
Open flames, fireworks, explosives, hazardous chemicals, and similar dangerous materials are prohibited unless expressly authorized by management.
Smoking shall only be permitted in designated smoking areas, if any.
SECURITY OF PERSONS AND PROPERTY
Guests shall take reasonable precautions to secure their personal belongings.
Guests shall ensure that doors, windows, and other access points remain secured when the accommodation is unattended.
Guests shall not access restricted, staff-only, maintenance, or secured areas of the Premises.
Theft, vandalism, destruction of property, unauthorized removal of assets, and misuse of facilities are strictly prohibited.
PROHIBITED CONDUCT
Guests shall not:
- engage in violence, assault, harassment, intimidation, threats, or abusive conduct;
- engage in illegal activities;
- possess or use illegal drugs or controlled substances;
- possess weapons, explosives, or hazardous materials except where expressly permitted by applicable law and approved by management;
- engage in human trafficking, exploitation, prostitution, or any unlawful activity;
- create excessive noise, disturbances, or disruptive behavior;
- damage or misuse property belonging to the management or other guests.
VISITOR MANAGEMENT
Visitors may only enter the Premises in accordance with applicable visitor registration requirements.
Overnight stays by visitors who are not registered guests are prohibited unless approved by management.
Guests remain fully responsible for the conduct and actions of their visitors.
PRIVACY AND SURVEILLANCE
The management respects the privacy of guests and shall process personal information in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.
Security cameras may be installed in common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and other public or semi-public areas for safety and security purposes.
Surveillance devices shall not be installed in guest rooms, bathrooms, changing areas, or any other location where a reasonable expectation of privacy exists.
Guests shall not install surveillance devices, recording equipment, or monitoring devices on the Premises without prior written approval.
HEALTH AND SAFETY HAZARDS
Guests shall promptly notify management of any health or safety hazard observed on the Premises.
Guests shall not interfere with safety barriers, warning signs, protective equipment, or restricted access controls.
INCIDENT REPORTING
Any accident, injury, theft, property damage, security breach, suspicious conduct, or safety concern shall be reported immediately to management.
Management may investigate any reported incident and guests shall reasonably cooperate with such investigation.
RIGHT OF ENFORCEMENT
Management reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to any violation of this Policy, including:
- issuance of warnings;
- restriction of access to facilities;
- removal of unauthorized persons;
- termination of accommodation rights;
- involvement of law enforcement authorities; and
- recovery of damages and losses.
LIMITATION OF RESPONSIBILITY
Guests remain responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings and valuables.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, management shall not be liable for loss, theft, damage, or destruction of personal property unless caused by the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of management.
POLICY COMPLIANCE
Compliance with this Policy is a condition of occupancy and continued access to the Premises. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the Premises and any other remedies available under applicable law.
